Featuring Rich Homie Quan, Birdman and Young Thug
Event Information
Released back in June of this year, the track "Lifestyle" by Birdman, Rich Homie Quan, and Young Thug rocketed up the charts. The single went on to reach Number Five on the US Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and Number 30 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. This past September, the trio released a mixtape entitled Rich Gang Tha Tour Part 1.
At just 23 years old, Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan is set to take the music industry by storm. Dedicating countless hours in the studio, Quan began churning out hit after hit, which eventually resulted in the 2008 smash “Stay Down”. The song became a fan favorite and solidified the start of a promising rap career for Quan. In 2012, he signed to Atlanta based independent label T.I.G (Think It’s A Game) and released his critically acclaimed Still Goin In mixtape.
Hip-Hop superstar and co-founder of Cash Money Records, Birdman, joins his fellow Rich Gang members on the Rich Gang Tour. In 2002, Birdman released his debut studio album, Birdman, featuring the singles "Do That" and "What Happened to That Boy". The album peaked at Number Four on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and Number 24 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Birdman’s album, Fast Money (2005), spawned the hits "Get Your Shine On" and "Neck of the Woods” and landed at Number Two on the Billboard Top Rap Albums chart.
Also headlining the Rich Gang Tour is Atlanta's own, Young Thug. The rapper broke through in 2013 with a series of successful mixtapes and singles. Thug released three volumes of his mixtape series, I Came from Nothing before joining Gucci Mane's 1017 Brick Squad crew in late 2012. His mixtape, 1017 Thug, followed in early 2013, featuring the quirky street single "Picacho". Later that year, his "Stoner" single was released, but it didn't catch fire until 2014, where it landed on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and remained for 15 weeks.
Rich Gang is set to release their second studio album this winter. This album will feature Birdman, Rich Homie Quan, and Young Thug collaborating with fellow Cash Money Records artists.
