TAMPA, FL – Trick Daddy & Friends 25th Anniversary Concert is coming to Tampa’s Yuengling Center on Saturday, August 27 at 7:30 p.m. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Trick Daddy’s first album. The concert will showcase some of the nation’s best entertainers like Trick Daddy, CeeLo Green, Trina, Juvenile, Plies and more surprise acts to be announced.
Trick Daddy
South Florida man, known as the “305 Miami Mayor,” and multi-platinum selling artist Trick Daddy has carried Miami on his back since his first album “Based on a True Story” 25 years ago. Trick Daddy has released nine solo albums and was featured on dozens more with artists like 2 Live Crew’s Luke, Lil Jon, Twista and Ying Yang Twins. He represents the gritty “other side of the bridge” but still can recreate himself to be relevant two decades later. He currently owns soul food restaurant, Sundays Eatery in Miami Gardens, FL, and hosts popular online cooking show I Got My Pots.
CeeLo Green
Atlanta’s own CeeLo Green was once part of hip-hop group Goodie Mob and has since created a platinum lane as a solo artist. CeeLo is also a producer, singer and businessman. CeeLo Green has had major hit singles like “Crazy” and “Forget You,” and is a former coach on the hit TV show The Voice.
Juvenile
As Louisiana’s first “Hot Boy” and former member of hip-hop supergroup Cash Money Millionaires, Juvenile has sold over four million records with hit singles in the late ‘90s like “Back That Azz Up” and “Slow Motion.”
Trina
Miami-grown Trina has been one of the leading female artists in the music business for over 20 years. Her debut album “Da Baddest Bitch” in 2000 was certified Gold, which included singles “Da Baddest Bitch” and “Pull Over.” She was recently honored with her own “Trina Day” in Miami for her service in philanthropy. Trina currently stars on VH-1’s TV series Love & Hip Hop.
Plies
Fort Myers native Plies debut album “The Real Testament” was released in 2007 and featured hit singles like “Hypnotized” featuring Akon and “Shawty” featuring T-Pain. Plies continued to dominate the hip-hop community by topping the charts with singles like “Bust It Baby Pt. 2” featuring Ne-Yo and “Becky.” More recently, he has brought the Central Florida community together by highlighting the challenges that young men face with his motivational speaking.
Ball Greezy
Miami rapper and singer Ball Greezy is known for creating sexy, soulful and party-friendly music alongside fellow Miami area rappers/collaborators Rick Ross, DJ Khaled and Flo Rida. In 2008, his two singles “I’m the Shit” and “Shone” simultaneously charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and shortly after Rick Ross and Flo Rida joined him on “All or Nothing,” a remix project featuring these hits.
